Msgr. Delgado was in fact Secretary General of the CEDES
(Salvadoran Bishops' Conference) and signed many of their statements. He also wrote books and made public appearances, as in his participation in a panel during which he charged that some of the clergy had crossed the line from preaching to FMLN activism, convened by the AIM group, the "watchdog" organization that called Augusto Pinochet a savior of Chile.Carlos X.https://www.blogger.com/profile/16580093848691478319noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27831432.post-1156425337391486632006-08-24T06:15:00.000-07:002006-08-24T06:15:00.000-07:00One note of correctionFreddy Delgado was NOT a bis...One note of correction

Freddy Delgado was NOT a bishop, though I believe that he held a post with the Salvadoran bishops' conference. He may have been a Monsignor, an honorary position, which also uses the title MonseƱor which is used of bishops in Latin America.

John DonaghyJohn (Juancito) Donaghyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12711543214465586727noreply@blogger.com
